Transcript:

A splash panel shows a view from above of groups of people as they choose tables and sitting down at a food court. They are some of the variety of people you would usually see there: different ages, genders, builds, abilities, ethnic backgrounds, styles of clothing, and so on. (They're not wearing masks, so this scene must be from a few years ago.) If some or all of these people are therians or otherkin, there is no way to tell.

Above them, the narration says, "Therianthropes and otherkin are nonfiction: we are real people who exist in the physical world. 'Theri There' comics are inspired by the true stories of the everyday lives of therians and otherkin. Some of the comics come from generalizations about common things in our communities."

In the next panel, a green dragon person works at a drafting table, drawing a comic that looks like an unfinished form of the one you're reading now. The dragon looks over their shoulder at the reader, breaking the fourth wall, and continues the narration, saying, "Some of the comics come from my own personal experiences. Even this experience right now, where I'm drawing this comic!"

A caption points at the dragon, which says:
"Real person profile
"Name: Orion Scribner (they/them)
"Note: I don't look like this in person, which is the situation for therians and kin. You can believe dragons exist somehow, in spirit or in other worlds, but there aren't any beings on Earth that bodily look like this."

Didn't really know that persistent characters were a thing in Theri There.

(I know this one is you, the artist, but I can't think of any other real people who'd be on pages two onwards.)

Will this comic ever return? I've been watching it for a while and it always made my day.
