A recently published academic article about therianthropes: Venetia Robertson's "The Beast Within: Anthrozoomorphic identity and alternative spirituality in the online therianthropy movement," in Nova Religio. With my permission, the article includes three cartoons from Theri There.

Very cool! Can this be read online? I can't seem to find it, though I did find their website.

Nova Religio is one of those very pricey academic journals. I think individual articles might show up in expensive subscription databases like JSTOR, so if you are near a university or college that has a subscription where you can go use a computer onsite, that might be your best bet.

ETA: see http://otherkin-news.livejournal.com/30939.html - merticus included a JSTOR link, as I suspected there might be.
