Image description:
Large calligraphy letters say "Fae fear iron."
Below, a fae acts melodramatically horrified about an ironing board.
Description ends.
Notes: A more serious explanation of why fairies legendarily fear the metal is found in the Elvendrums song, "Iron."

Date: 2005-10-10 01:14 pm (UTC)Although, a notable sidebar from your commentary item: "This is why dragons end up doing most of the housework." Not all dragons like doing housework, mind. This is why many will leave it until it must absolutely be done (after all, there is plenty of time to do it later), or are portrayed in media as having servants or slaves to do it for them (although, it should be noted that this is almost always a portrayal of wistful wishing and not reality). };-:}~

Date: 2005-10-11 05:30 pm (UTC)This week's particular comic strip is a hypothetical situation based upon sort of a pun, and the assumption that fae dislike doing the ironing as much as anyone else.
Why would you think that I'd live with a fairy in order to draw a comic about one? Or that the person making the comic would be someone else than usual?

Date: 2005-10-12 10:32 am (UTC)The comic commentary below the comic hinted at some experience.
And I thought someone gave you the *idea* not the *strip*.

Hmm, that's unexpected... it probably has something to do with the way images are blocked on Comicgenesis or something. Since that's just something the website's programming does, it'd only happen if you're trying to print the whole webpage. So, save the comic image by itself to a folder in your computer. (In Windows: right click, save as.) Then print that image.

Date: 2005-10-11 11:55 pm (UTC)A more light-hearted comic. But I like.
Ironically enough, I don't particularly mind ironing, and do identify as a dragon.
Though I'm a rather disorganized sort, that has been known to do things like iron dirty laundry so it at least *looks* clean, and then wear it to school. Quick fix when you kinda need nice clothes that day.
