Are you interested in doing a guest comic for Theri There? If so, read and reply here.

The rules that submitted guest comics must conform to, since they're the same rules my own comic conforms to:

1) I'd like the comic to be available to everyone, so stay within the G rating.
No violence, swearing, or graphic descriptions or depictions of sex. You can still have mild cartoonish violence and slapstick humor; swearing in the form of dingbats or very mild interjections; and respectful references to a person being homosexual or transgendered. (Many LGBTQIA issues are rated G topics. I disagree with conservative censors who would automatically hide all LGBTQIA issues under a PG-13 rating.)
2) Always check your spelling first.
Look up any questionable words in a dictionary, and be sure they mean what you think they mean.
3) Avoid offensive portrayals of a person or group of people.
Even if you feel that they're the opposite of everything you stand for, show their viewpoint with respect and understanding. Don't try to make them look stupid by drawing them as a goofy caricature (with buck teeth, for example), and don't write their dialogue in Internet abbreviations. I believe this rule makes for a more approachable and educational comic. It's not a weapon, it's a guide.
4) No angry rants.
See above. A lot of articles in the therianthrope community are just rants about how the author disapproves of something or other. Generally, opinions aren't educational when they're all by themselves. There needs to be something more.
5) No copyright infringement.
Don't use or mention any copyrighted or trademarked characters, species, fonts, or brand names. You can use your own copyrighted characters... just don't use anybody else's without their permission.
6) Please don't portray otherkin and therians as if they are dysfunctional to the extent of being a danger to themselves or others.
I don't want to encourage outsiders to think that otherkin and therians are like that. I also don't want to encourage inexperienced otherkin and therians to think that they should be like that. Part of the goal of Theri There is to show that otherkin and therians are okay people.

Special notes for guest comics:

1) Your comic must have illustrations to go along with the text to be a comic... but any illustration style or media is fine! Paintings, photographs, drawings, animations... manga style, American style, ligne claire style, or even stick figures. No matter how you draw it, it should look nice enough for print. No MS Paint doodles or really grainy JPG files.
2) Send your script to me before you draw the comic, and I'll give you some editing help.
3) If needed, I'll clean and resize your comic so that it looks sharp and fits on the web-page.
4) Write this at the bottom of your comic or down its side: "Today's guest comic © [the year, month, and day when you made the comic] [your name]. Theri There © [this year] Orion Sandstorrm."

Some tips on making comics:

1) To make all your words fit in a dialogue balloon or narrative box, write the words first. Then draw the balloon or box around the words. (If you try to draw the balloon first and then write the words, you may find out that you misjudged how much space you need for the words.)
2) Limitations to keep your comic from looking crowded: there's a maximum of about twenty words per panel, and a maximum of about ten panels per page. (You can exceed that if necessary, since it's just an aesthetic guideline, not a hard rule.)
3) Write a script first so it will be easy to edit. If you try to come up with the words while you're making the comic, editing will be nearly impossible.
4) You can work with a buddy to make your comic. For example, one person can write the script, and the other person can illustrate it. Furthermore, another person can ink illustrations that were penciled by the illustrator.
3) When drawing panel borders and lines of text, use a T-square and triangle so that the lines don't get crooked.

Answer these questions if you're planning to make a guest comic, or already working on it:

(Ignore this part if a guest comic is only a flitting fantasy in the back of your mind.)
1) What is the subject of your guest comic? Be specific.
2) Will you be making your comic all yourself, or do you need to work with someone else to do the illustrating (or writing) half of it? Who will it be?
3) When will your comic be finished and available?
4) Copyright stuff. If it ever happens that I publish a book of Theri There comics, do you want your guest comic(s) to be included or left out?

I'd like to... but I can't draw to save my life. But I could probably do better than stick figures. i'd probably be on topic for the comic at least. And I dont really know when it'd be available .. just .. as I was inspired to do it.. i guess. I guess I have alot of things to express about therianthropy and otherkinness ..
