New comic will appear on January 23rd, 2006.

Yes, it's a brand-new, fully-finished comic this time! I've been working with the time management schedules, as promised, and it's helped me work the comic into my time a bit better. I found that laying out, drawing, lettering, and inking today's comic took five hours total... not counting the preliminary sketches, and the cleanup and tinting that I did after I scanned it into the computer. Writing the script doesn't even count into the time in this instance, since it's a guest script. Thanks, Baxil!

Strange, I can read it(and I do rather like it) and it's only the 22nd, 12:40 PM where I'm at(central time).

Nice. A good way to define otherkin.

Congratulations Orion! Great to hear that the time management-ness is working out for you. It's probably something I should take to heart.

As for the comic:

*chuckles*

Nice script, Bax. Nice execution, Orion. It seems to be that Therithere is slowly developing a reoccuring cast. That would be the same gryphon and wolf we've seen before, yes? There's something familiar about the faces of the elf and dragon, as well. That is a dragon, yes? I'm going by the style of the ear.

This comic seems like it could be a compression of a long discussion on a forum or an IRC room between the 'kin featured. Well, with snarky commentary added.

Steps One thru X-1. (Something that makes sense)
Step X (Most crucial step. Ommitted, or replaced by ???)
Step X+1, Final Step: Profit!

I always did find that format amusing. ^_^

Sidenote: if that *is* a dragon kin as I'm assuming, I rather like your portrayal of him/her. (sorry, on a lousy slow computer and can't go back to check gender.) I often imagine a different set of ears on myself is the reason why. Something larger, and mobile, suited for emoting with.

Hmm. If recurring characters are in the offing, how about a cast page?

Drat. >.=.< My bad. Do apologize to xir for me, I'd feel a bit mortified if I mistook someone's otherness in person.

Eh I mistook somebody for something else once. Told them recently and they cracked up about it.

I'm really enjoying that so many of the characters are quite androgenous. Surprisingly enough, it doesn't stand out at all and seems completely normal until you try to describe someone as "him/her".

Well it is true not? I mean how much commonalities can you divulge together.

That and they rather have pizza!

Well, yeah. Pizza is good. Cheese, ham, anchovies, pineapple is my favorite. You?

"Supreme" style (which is different for every maker of pizza, but always includes a lot of different toppings). I don't really like pepperoni on pizza because of the way it collects grease, but I can tolerate it; I rather suspect that there are a lot of people who agree, but ask for pepperoni because it's so "popular" that it's a safe choice. I've been asking around about that.

Yeah, but with my metabolism, I can burn off such things nice and quickly.

Same here! I usually get a Supreme and ask them to leave off the pepperoni, just because one day it occurred to me that pepperoni is overrated.

Great job, Orion and Baxil!

And it's not your fault that this sparked memories of when we were asked to attempt to define 'postmodernism' during my final year of university...

You should recognize that this is a koan in which the journey is of more significance than the destination....

I'm HOME!! I've finally found folks who understand when I do that unconscious shift to get my tail out of the door in time! Or zig zag a bit to get the wings out of the way! :)

Cackle, that is how it indeed is Ladyfox7oaks. Hell if I sit on my computer chair I always leave "tail space", though my rats know many ways to fill that up!
