Can't say I've ever dressed as my true form. It's a little hard, given I'd have to probably shell out around a couple thousand bucks for a realistic, fully operational fursuit to my exact specifications, cooling fans, animatronics, and all, to be satisfied. lol
The only "past life me" I have ever dressed as would be a pirate. :P (Don't ask me what being a pirate was like - all I remember was how I died...)
Hah, I could dress as one of my two remembered human past lives - Middle Ages Generic (male) Peasant, or Little Girl In White Nightgown With Bloody Kitchen Knife. The second one would actually be a pretty good Halloween costume. ;)
the current sorry state of myoelectric polymers (myomers, for the Shadowrun, Cyberpunk, and Mechwarrior fans) mean that there would be no practical way to articulate such a beast (especially facial muscles!) to my satisfaction.
OTOH, if anyone has the image "Armor2.jpg" by Kaijima kicking around, I could still do something cool for a bit less...
